We traveled down a long and winding dirt road that split the verdant growth along each side, watching playful Vervet monkeys and mongooses scatter before our approaching car as frigates and pelicans flew overhead. We were finally getting to Turtle Beach and our home at Turtle Cove Beach House for the next week! After many twists and turns each more exciting than the last we arrived at one of the most peaceful and serene places that I have ever been on this planet.
Located on the Southeast Peninsula it is away from all of the lights and noise and traffic and crowds of the areas around Basseterre and Kittitian Village. The home is perfectly situated right on Turtle beach which may as well be called a private beach because we hardly ever saw a soul the entire time we were there with exception of friendly local neighbors and an occasional kite surfer. The home itself is more than wonderful comfortable and cozy. The 3 large bedrooms with plush beds allowed us all to spread out as we needed and could come together to cook in the ample kitchen and have our meals out on the lower patio picnic table or the upper balcony that conveys fantastic views of Nevis lying just across the Narrows. Spend some time here enjoy the paddle boards and experience the snorkeling the glorious reef just a few swim strokes off the sand.
Max is the local host and is more than accommodating and always handy if any need arises. Kim the owner truly knows how to run a rental business, our every need and concern is always handled quickly and professionally. We have stayed here 3 times in the past year and planning a return in the summer. The photos simply do not do any justice at all. You must experience it in person. A wonderful place to reset! The days are relaxing and the nights are full of peace and happiness with a glass of wine watching stars shine above and the lights twinkle across Nevis. Deserves more than 5 stars.

The Turtle Cove Beach House is absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking views from the bedroom and patio. Very private. Had the beach, which was steps away, basically to ourselves. Loved it. Max was great. Had awesome local recomendations and even met him at the Mangofest in Nevis. We had a great time.

Above and Beyond… Our stay from start to finish was a complete "Above and Beyond” experience. Having visited St Kitts many times (I had fallen in love with the island nation and the people many years ago and wanted to share it with the love of my life). I had often dreamed what it would be like to stay at that BEAUTIFUL house right on Turtle Beach - I wondered what would it be like to be in an intimate home on the beach, instead of a hotel? It had been a dream for many years… and I tried to manage my super high exceptions. I can definitely state, it did not disappoint. It was all ABOVE and BEYOND! My initial communication with the owner, Kim, was warm, easy and all necessary details provided in a timely manner. Our on island host, Max, was beyond amazing. He was kind, warm, thoughtful, gracious, available, thought of every detail and then some… and the place was spotless. The house was outfitted with everything we could possibly need or want - fans and A/C in each room, screened windows for local breeze, every necessary kitchen appliance, cookware, gadgets, some unexpected treats from Max, amenities, clothing detergent, snorkeling gear, stand up paddle board, an outside shower, games, bug spray (it’s an island… it goes with the territory)…. The house was is beautifully decorated and appointed - designed for beauty, grace, comfort and “liming’ (the local word for hanging around with friends) - inside & outside spaces, with privacy and to catch every stunning view. For those who do not know the island, the driving is on the left side of the road and the house is located on the southeastern peninsula - a beautiful, quiet and somewhat isolated area of St Kitts. By Caribbean standards, the roads are quite good. Getting to the house involves some good, long, winding roads… and then some seriously pocked dirt roads. We rented a vehicle for our stay and can’t imagine it any other way. We explored historic sites: Brimstone Hill Fortress, Romney Manor, the capital, Basseterre…, hiked the sugar fields, tried multiple beaches, explored the high end development on the peninsula and dined all over the island and in our house. We took at 10 minute water taxi to Nevis from a dock 5 minutes from Turtle Cove Beach House. As great as St Kitts is, our favorite part was staying at our rented “home.” The week was perfect… except it all went by too quickly. We Would return in a heartbeat… next time thinking about going back with some friends (the house can be rented as 2 bedrooms/3 bathrooms or 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms. With a full kitchen upstairs and a smaller kitchen to use when using the BBQ or having a beach picnic in our own private backyard.
AWESOME!!!

Well, like it was previously said in a review I don't want the secret to get out! Because I'd like this property to be available at all times to me! But I owe it to Kim and Max to tell the world about my experience because they're so deserving of a 10 star rating.. I could write for days here about the Turtle Cove Beach House and how much we enjoyed the little things, the fine touches and details of this house. The spectacular condition of it, so clean. The pictures don't even do it justice. The communication with Kim and Max was outstanding. Max welcomed us in and is so friendly. Max set the tone for our vacation really. We were still in the NY groove and the haze of the flight and rental car, all that and Max helped settle right in to this beautiful place and gave us all the info we needed. The house had everything you need , all you need is groceries. We cooked the entire week pretty much. Bbq on the grill and stuff...I loved this house and these people and we'll be back...St Kitts was my 5th and so far my favorite island I've been to.. The location is great.. so secluded yet right around the corner from everything you need.. Quiet! Tranquil! That's what we wanted and that's what we got.. I'm gonna be late for work.. Thanks Kim and Max. See you soon! ..

This was our second trip to St. Kitts and we were thrilled to stay at TCBH. The house is right on the ocean looking out at Nevis. Breathtaking views! The house had everything we needed and Max made sure that everything was set up for us and took great care of the property and us. Kim was also great at keeping in touch and making sure everything was in order. We were a bit worried about the seaweed that washes over the entire Caribbean this time of year and Max even made arrangements for us to cover that off. Fortunately, it didn’t end up being an issue and we were able to fully enjoy the beach and water. Turtle Beach is a bit far and you definitely need a car to get around. There are a few beaches and restaurants in the general area but nothing within walking distance. The house is secluded and private so if peaceful relaxation is what you are looking for, it is the perfect place. I would definitely stay there again.

Turtle Cove Beach House and my fear of Dentists: You may wonder, what a dentist has to do with the slice of paradise, that is The Turtle Cove Beach House...it’s this. To begin... I don’t like dentists. I’ll admit to being a bit of a weenie when I get into the chair (even for a cleaning). I recently had to endure a 2+ hour long oral surgery. I knew it was going to be a long/uncomfortable procedure. So I chose some super-calming music to play on my headphones & opted for the nitrous gas. The effects of both were helpful, but it was still a pretty stress-inducing event. Then I had a great idea...I decided that I would think of the most beautiful place I’ve ever been & visualize myself there for the duration of the surgery. I chose the Turtle Cove Beach House as my “sanctuary”. I recently had the pleasure of spending a week there with my girlfriend, for my birthday & knew the house pretty well, (especially the view of Nevis, from the upper deck) I’m a visual artist (photographer/illustrator) and as a result, am blessed with pretty solid visualization and recall skills. I “put” myself in the hammock of that upper deck & proceeded to rebuild the entire scene in my minds eye. The sounds of the nearby surf, birds & monkeys filled my imagination...The feeling of the sun filtering through the trees as it warmed my body...Watching the ever-changing vista of the volcano on Nevis, as clouds shrouded then exposed the green slopes...The curve of the Turtle Bay Beach, hugging me in its' welcoming crescent shape...The indefinable hues of teals, greens & blues of the water...The sea-sculpted beachwood that washed ashore...The sweet smell of the lush garden & the ever-present ocean breeze. The colors of sunrise & sunset morphing seamlessly into day or night. The soft twinkling lights of Nevis, curving into the distance. When I felt I’d exhausted those scenes, I recreated the textures of the outdoor couches. The myriad of interesting shells that lay about. The coolness of the tile on my feet. The many overhead fans that were ready at the flick of a switch. The round cement tiles, embedded with shells & colored stones that lined the path to the beach The secluded feeling of being 1 of only 2 houses on that pristine beach. IT WORKED!!! The long surgery passed peacefully, despite the upheaval going on in my mouth! My memories of Turtle Cove kept me calm & relaxed (a first for me in a dentist chair!). I could go on about how well the house was stocked; from kitchen gadgets, to water toys, games, books, thick beach towels, the jacuzzi in the Master bedroom, sun block & bug spray, and info on St Kitts. The comfort of the many chaise lounges, the downstairs outdoor kitchen & bathroom which allowed one to comfortably spend the entire day at the beach, mere steps away. The fact that ALL the switches and drawers were clearly labeled (a small but important feature on a vacation rental) And the super helpful care-taker, Max, who advised us on the some of the beaches & restaurants in our area. This property will be with me, not only on my dentist visits, but for the rest of my days as a dear and beautiful memory. I look forward to returning (maybe with some close friends), so I can share this special place with more, of those I love.

This property could not be more perfect for a mental reset. The view is hypnotic, Caribbean beauty at its best. Large home with all imaginable amenities, nothing overlooked. Steps to what feels like your own private beach allowing for daily cleansing dips. Very well managed by Max who is a phone call away if needed.

This by far has been the best experience we have had with any property we have rented over the years. Kim and Max, the property manager were very attentive, informative and engaged before, during and after our visit. The house is everything that is advertised and more. We had the beach to ourselves with awesome views, lots of wildlife and best of all extremely quiet. The house was well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay whether you are cooking your own meals or going out every meal. There is plenty of places to eat and the grocery store (we like to cook ourselves) was only 15 minutes away. We wanted a place where we could just relax, swim, stare at the ocean and just slow down and this place was perfect. We will be looking to come back again and again.

Best vacation experience
The house was amazing and property manager, Max, was so very helpful booking excursions and recommending restaurants, beaches, etc. The whole experience was absolutely amazing from checkin to checkout. The owner, Kim, was also excellent and checked in with us to make sure all was perfect. I highly recommend Turtle Cove Beach House to all!!

Other reviews show great pictures of the beach house, so I add only the bluest sky, great coconut palms, and the view out the front of the house. TCBH (Turtle Cove Beach House), was the perfect place if you want to really wind down and enjoy being in your own piece of paradise. It is located on the peninsula, the very quiet end of the island, a few beach bars dotted around, a restaurant or two, but about 30 minutes from the supermarket, so don’t forget anything! Max, our host, couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. The house is so well equipped for dining in, BBQ on the beach, sundowners, everything is there including coolers, and loads of ice trays. The setting is brilliant for walks on the beach, a challenging walk to the top of the hill, snorkelling, water sports, walk to Reggae beach and bar, and catch a water taxi to Nevis. A car is pretty necessary, if you want to explore the island. We have friends in St. Kitts, and have been many times, and our 2 weeks at the beach house, has been one of the best. Highly recommended.
